One Of Penang’s Top Trips.
Are you visiting Penang shortly? Or already here? Then why not try one of the Penang trips. The Tropical Spice Garden – The Best Spice And Flower Garden In Penang, Malaysia. Tropical Spice Garden is a bio-diverse living museum of the spices and other tropical plants that have shaped our global history.
The six landscaped acres of the garden are a treasure trove of more than 500 living specimens of lush and exotic flora from around the world. They are also recognized as one of the best Penang attractions with their flower gardens in Penang, Malaysia for anyone that appreciates and enjoys learning about Malaysian flora and fauna. This is one of Penang’s tours not to be missed!
Tourandtakein went here during the RMCO after most of the Penang attractions had started opening.
We were met with a very enthusiastic smile and warm welcome by the team and to celebrate a new beginning, there was a special offer for 12 ringgits (2.50GBP) You can also be accompanied by a travel guide or take the audio tour ( extra costs but still very reasonable). the ladies mentioned giving it a good one and a half hours for this Penang tourism trip.
Itinerary Penang and inside the Tropical Spice Gardens
Heading from Georgetown, just catch the 101 or 102 busses which are consistent and the 101 comes nearly every 10mins and cost about 2 Ringgit. Or take a Grab taxi again very reasonable and you can use their app for bookings.

Penang Food With Their Hands-On Cooking Classes.
Here, our talented panel of chefs and experienced home-cooks will share with you their treasured family recipes – featuring delectable, spice-laden cuisines of South East Asia. Classes are currently limited to 8 people per session to make for a highly personalised approach with our guests who will each have their own cooking stations; whilst maintaining social distancing.
The school – the first of its kind in Penang – features Nyonya, Malay, Indian-Malay, Thai, Penang Street food, and Asian Vegetarian cuisines. Their classes begin with a live guided tour, curated to offer a deeper insight into the use of herbs and spices through generations for healing, health and to create a myriad of rich flavors.
Introduce children to nature with our fun and educational programmes and activities. Together with our nature facilitators, kids explore the Garden and get up close and personal with the rich diversity of nature as well as spices and their role in history.
All our educational packages are suitable for children under the ages of 12. A few highlights include the Spice & Herb guided tour, scavenger hunts, and arts & crafts. Our programs approximately take about 3 – 3.5 hours but we also organize overnight camps, and we’re more than happy to cater to your needs! Packages start from RM20 onwards with a minimum of 10 persons.
Popular Penang Programs Include:
a) Spices In My Kitchen
Learn about secrets of spices within our food and medicines through puzzles, races, and other activities, which aim to stimulate creativity and imagination as while discovering how the ancient spice trade shaped human history.
b) My Kampung Garden
Discover the joys of gardening and re-connection with nature. Get down and dirty as you discover the vital relationship between humankind and the earth beneath our feet with these fun hands-on gardening sessions.
c) Life In My Rainforest
Explore the secrets of the rainforest ecosystem with the charismatic dusky leaf monkey through a show and tell tour and some detective work. Let your imagination run wild with the inhabitants of the rainforest as you discover traditional uses and benefits of life’s natural sources.
d) Nature Box

Beach Opposite The Gardens
Directly opposite the Gardens is the Teluk Bahang beach at Penang, this to me, is one of best beaches in Penang, thus making a fun day out for all the family with both itineraries in Penang across from each other!
This is not regarded as the main Teluk Bahang beach, as that is where the National Park is and the fishing village, however just ask for the stop at the tropical spice gardens in TB and you will find it.
We hope it helps and please enjoy your travelling , most of the time it’s fun and gives us a great persepective for our hard work throughout the year.
Book Your Trip to Penang: Logistical Tips and Tricks
Book Your Flight
Find a cheap flight by using Skyscanner or Last Minute.com. They are my two favorite search engines because they search for websites and airlines around the globe, and again they haven’t let me down, that’s why we associate with them.
Book Your Accommodation
You can book your apartment/homestay/guesthouse with AirBnB, we use these all the time and have never been let down, in fact as mentioned above, while in hospital in Italy, the company refunded us as we didn’t have chance to cancel our future booking until a fortnight later. We also have a $38 off offer for first-timers
Tripadvisor Don’t just take our word for it, see what the reviewers say. Have your own footsoldiers already on the ground, giving you their thoughts. Remember, some businesses have been known to inflate their own reviews.
This is easily noticeable as per seeing written reviews in different languages, Translate them with Google, and different reviewers using different grammar/mistakes. The cheats usually write in English only and have the same grammar/mistakes, as they don’t know any different!
Booking.com as they have the largest inventory as they consistently return the cheapest rates for guesthouses and hotels.
If you love animals, why not try pet sitting or housesitting with Trustedhousesitters. It’s a small cost to sign up to but again we’ve used these and saved hundreds over the years, plus living locally rather than as a tourist.
Computer We use a VPN express for these reasons when traveling and when we’re at home. 1) Avoid price discrimination based on location. 2) Protect your online privacy. 3) Keep your info safe from third parties, don’t be vulnerable to cybercrime and snooping, especially on public Wi-Fi. 4) All your internet traffic is fully encrypted, and ExpressVPN keeps no activity or connection logs.
Your shared IP address cannot be used to link you to any online activity. 5) Defeat censorship in certain countries on certain website channels. 6) High-speed connectivity and finally, a great price for peace of mind, which can be used on all devices from $6.69 P.M
Don’t Forget Travel Insurance
Travel insurance will protect you against illness, injury, theft, and cancellations. It’s comprehensive protection in case anything goes wrong. I never go on a trip without it, as I’ve had to use it many times in the past.
I’ve been using World Nomads for several years now and is one of my favorite companies that offer the best service, value and piece of mind:)
