Leisure Tips

Food: You may be in a 3rd world country and not like the local dishes or they give you stomach problems, always check the hotels out, as they usually offer all you can eat, drink, buffets for breakfast and have a different dish menu’s during the day at all reasonable prices. A bit more obviously than your local vendors, however, may be the saviours for your stomach or wanting a meal of your country.

Swimming: If you’re into swimming yet your AirBnB doesn’t have a pool, We find that many hotels with outdoor pools will accommodate if you spend in their business on drinks or meals will get you a dip in the pool F.O.C. If not, always ask if they are charging for nonresidents which maybe even cheaper. Remember what your mum always told you ” if you don’t ask, you don’t get. “ Bless her!

Today's free pool after spending 8 ringgit on a coke, however, after seeing the scrumptious menu, we also ordered meatballs and rice, delicious!

Gym:

TravelThe best company I use are Grab for bikes in and about the major cities that have heavy traffic, very cheap and usually have a Grab franchise in every country now! They also have cars for hire most hours of the days and the Grab app, you can also use for shopping, food booking amenities etc… It’s very cheap if not the cheapest of this type of service, safe as every trip is recorded and can be monitored.

Internet connection: Always buy a sim card with a daily data allowance for leisure time, thus then you can be on a social network/APP from anywhere and also if you lose connection in your rented accommodation, you can always tether from your mobile to your laptop via a USB lead and receive a great signal. Don’t bother with your internet supplier back home as you will most likely occur HUGE roaming charges and unforeseen charges as you still have to come through the countries that your visitings network and that’s where the HUGE cost will happen…It’s so easy now to just pick up a sim card and cheap data. Remember when buying the sim, you may need to show the supplier your PASSPORT.
